Some Frequently Asked Questions

Some Frequently Asked Questions are things like…do I need to be an artist? Can I eat whilst I paint? Can I take my painting home?

NOW MUCH DO THE SESSIONS COST?

General tickets to public events are $59pp unless stated otherwise.

For private group bookings (team building, fundraisers, etc) we provide a price tailored to your needs and discounts for attendees numbers 15+

DO I NEED TO BE ARTISTIC?

No, you don’t.
We walk you through every stage from pencil drawing to brush techniques.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Definitley not your Sunday best. Painting is about having fun and relaxing. The paint is water-based but can stain clothes. 

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

Just a smile and be ready to have fun!
If we are operating at licensed premises you can purchase alcohol there. If we are at a pop-up location you will need to bring alcohol (glasses provided)

WHAT DO YOU PROVIDE FOR EACH SESSION?

We provide everything you need. Just turn up and everything is ready to go.

Easel & canvas
Apron to protect your clothes
Paint & brushes
Water & wipes
An awesome playlist 🙂

CAN I EAT WHILST I PAINT?

A lot of our pop-up venues will be cafes, clubs & pubs. All have some sort of kitchen to buy food from. Keep in mind the session START TIME. We don’t want you painting on an empty stomach. 

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?

All cancellations will incur a $20 FEE.
Some consideration is taken in certain circumstances.

CAN I TAKE MY PAINTING HOME?

Of course….it’s your Masterpiece for all the see. We ask you to be careful if it’s still wet though. The paint is water-based but does stain.

YOUR PHOTO ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

We do ask your permission prior to commencing the night. Please let us know if don’t wish to be included in our social media posts.

How it started

Arty Chardy was born just over 2 years ago by Craig (CAP)  AKA “Mr. Arty”

Since its inception, we have made many people smile, laugh, and enjoy the art of painting.

Craig has been a commercial cartoonist/ illustrator/ graphic designer and art exhibitor since 1980. Sold his first oil-canvas painting at 15 (1979) and never looked back

He has had several successful exhibitions in Sydney CBD and has taught cartooning and life drawing for many years.
